For 28 years, homeowners have called John Thompson when the sprinklers failed, the lawn thinned, or a yard needed a proper plan. Not a call center. Not a rotating crew. One licensed contractor — C-27 License #802857 — who answers, shows up, and stands behind the work.
This is where Thompson Landscaping built its name. Leaks found thoroughly. Valves and controllers solved creatively — the kind of persistent problem-solving homeowners praise in its Thumbtack reviews.
Practical, beautiful design ideas tailored to your home — planting, layout, and the kind of garden that looks better in year three than it did on day one.
New sod laid right, overseeding for thin lawns, and full-service care that keeps established yards green, even, and healthy through Sacramento summers.
Homeowners consistently describe John as responsive and easy to get hold of — you call, you hear back, the work gets scheduled.
Creative, persistent troubleshooting on valves and controllers — the fiddly irrigation problems that leave lawns patchy and water bills high.
Not a glance and a guess. Careful inspections that find where the water is actually going, so the fix lasts.
If something isn't right, John returns promptly to put it right. That habit, repeated for 28 years, is the whole reputation.
Beyond maintenance — thoughtful landscape-design suggestions that help homeowners see what their yard could become.

A yard is not finished when the work is done. It is finished when it is done right — and still looks right a season later.
That standard has carried Thompson Landscaping through 28 years of Sacramento summers, drought years, and rainy winters — from Natomas to neighborhoods across the city. License verified, reputation earned one lawn, one valve, and one garden at a time.
